Francis Walters Joins Louisiana�s Cypress Bend Resort
as Director of Food & Beverage
August 2, 2010 - Francis Walters has joined Louisiana�s Cypress Bend Resort as Director of Food & Beverage where he will oversee the resort�s restaurants, bar, and banquet operations. Walters, a classically trained chef with more than 26 years of culinary experience, began his training under Maurice Couturier, an accomplished and renowned French Chef who was also a private chef to the late King Hussein of Jordan. A member of the Chaine Des Rotisseurs, Walters previously served as executive chef of Sam Houston Race Park in Houston, Texas; Landry�s Aquarium Restaurant in Kemah, Texas; and the legendary Rainbow Lodge restaurant in Houston. �In addition to his experience as an executive chef, Francis� catering and event planning background will help us take our banquet offerings to the next level,� says Ron Gwin, general manager of the 95-guestroom resort.
