The Fullerton Bay Hotel, the Sister Property to the Historic Fullerton Hotel
Set to Open Summer 2010; the 100-room Property Built on the
Water of Singapore's Marina Bay

Singapore, May 13, 2010 The Fullerton Heritage, Singapore is delighted to announce the much anticipated opening of Marina Bays first waterfront hotel, The Fullerton Bay Hotel this summer 2010. Comprising 100 rooms and six individually-themed suites, each with magnificent marina views, balconies and sundecks, the hotel offers a luxury design element to travellers visiting Singapores hottest new district.

LCL Architects, the group behind the hotels inspiring glass facade, is also responsible for the creation of the bedrooms, whilst the public areas and restaurants are the latest project from design wunderkind, Andre Fu.  Guests will enter the hotel through a 56ft wide lobby at the historic Clifford Pier, an important historic site which saw the arrival of many of Singapores early settlers. This central meeting point is dominated by a 16ft wide cylindrical chandelier, suspended 33ft above the ground. The public areas are steeped in the citys history with Fu using vintage nautical maps and local artists to create an atmosphere that truly reflects the cultural melting pot that is Singapore.

Utilising materials and designs such as polished rosewood and latticed screens, as well as leather and chrome, LCL Architects has created an elegant and refined atmosphere in the bedrooms with a predominantly neutral palette throughout. This classical look is combined with high-spec technology to ensure that the hotels modern travellers are never out of touch.

Each of the hotels six suites, including the 1636 sq ft Presidential Suite, are individually themed to reflect the wealth of cultures in Singapores cosmopolitan population, including Chinese, Malay, Indian, Pernakan, and Colonial and are situated on the upper three stories of the hotel, in prime corner positions. Each will be adorned with bespoke artwork and antiques alongside contemporary pieces that embody the ethnic spirit unique to the suites assigned culture.

The hotels three restaurants, designed by Andre Fu, include Clifford, The Landing Point and Lantern. Lantern is a stylish rooftop bar, surrounding the hotels 25m rooftop swimming pool, where guests can relax and unwind whilst watching the world go by with 360° views of the Marina Bay waterfront and famous Singapore skyline.  This urban oasis offers the best sunset views in the city and is the perfect location for a tête-à-tête or cocktail party.

Clifford, which boasts 33 ft floor-to-ceiling windows with views out to Marina Bay and an 800-bottle wine library, serves modern brassiere fare. The restaurant has one semi-private dining room for up to 10 guests as well as an al fresco dining balcony for up to 40 guests. The Landing Point is located alongside the impressive internal bespoke marble promenade, overlooking the waterfront. With a 43ft long bar and vast outdoor terrace, The Landing Point is set to become another favourite for Singaporeans and hotel guests alike.

Deluxe Rooms start from USD$800 excluding services and taxes.
