The Dallas Fort Worth Airport Marriott South Sees Higher Demand
with Opening of Cowboys Stadium

Dallas, TX- May 7, 2010 - The new Cowboys Stadium has exceeded expectations for the hotels surrounding it; and the DFW Airport Marriott South, the closest full-service Marriott property to the stadium, is experiencing additional demand.

According to Nancy Sorrell, hotel General Manager, "We were cautiously optimistic with regards to the amount of demand the new stadium would provide, however the quality and amount of events has far exceeded our expectations." The new Cowboys Stadium is becoming a major demand generator for the hotel and area. In addition to being home of the Dallas Cowboys, the stadium has hosted the NBA All-Star Game, the PBR Built Ford Tough rodeo series, and boxing's world welterweight championship.

Hotels in Area Cater to the Cowboy Stadium Attendees

The Marriott DFW Airport Hotel prepared for the opening of Cowboys Stadium by adding a shuttle to and from the Dallas Cowboys home games and adding special offers that allow fans of the events the best possible experience.  "One year before the first event we reviewed and analyzed what we could provide our guests and came up with several specials and convenient items that would assist our guests with the best possible experience," said Ms. Sorrell. "We have all gone to events to find out how to best position the hotel to ensure all items were covered and guests could relax and enjoy the experience. The shuttle to and from the Cowboys home games was easy to implement and a great way to make it a successful trip for our guests," she added. The hotel's Dallas Cowboys packages include: transportation to and from the hotel and Cowboys Stadium, breakfast for two adults at RiverCity Grille and cocktail reception for two adults at RiverCity Grille Lounge. Packages are available for two-night stays (arriving on Saturday) and one-night stays (arriving on Sunday). The package is only available on weekends featuring a Dallas Cowboys home game.
