Allen brings more than 31 years of experience in the hospitality industry to his new position at the Holiday Inn Resort. �I'm delighted to be a part of the Innisfree team and I look forward to working with a dedicated group of colleagues who are passionate about exceptional service,� he said.
  
Prior to this appointment, Allen was senior vice president of operations for Elite Hospitality in Ormond Beach, Fla. During his 10 years in that role he oversaw 17 hotels from Daytona Beach to Jacksonville, Fla.  Born and raised in Mobile, Ala., Allen began his career with the Hilton Hotel in Mobile where he held several positions. He earned a degree in business administration from the University of South Alabama in 1984.

In his new role as general manager, Allen will work closely with the Innisfree Hotel development and pre-opening teams to ensure that the hotel meets all requirements and standards of the InterContinental Hotels Group, which owns the Holiday Inn brand. He also is responsible for staffing the hotel with key personnel in all departments and preparing the hotel for its first guests. 

The Holiday Inn Resort will feature a lazy river pool and splash pad, hot tubs, pool bar, fitness center, business center, indoor pool, eight meeting rooms with more 10,000 sq. ft. of meeting space, lounge and a full service restaurant.
