LONG BEACH, New York (June 29, 2010) � The Allegria Hotel announces the appointment of Thomas Puccio as general manager of the luxury Long Beach, New York hotel. In his new role as general manager, Puccio�s duties will include owner relations, developing the hotel�s strategic direction, property management, and overseeing all hotel operations. Mr.  Puccio brings a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry in the fields of sales and marketing, revenue management, new business development, public relations and advertising. His varied expertise will play a crucial role as the general manager at the Allegria Hotel. 

For the past two years, Mr. Puccio served as the director of sales and marketing at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Virginia.  In this role, he drove sales and marketing strategies, designed an internal and external customer communication plan, and worked closely with the corporate marketing team to produce a new hotel Web site, develop promotions, and create newly branded collateral. Prior to the Crystal Gateway Marriott, Mr. Puccio served as director of sales and marketing at the Renaissance M Street Hotel in Washington D.C. where he led the hotel's re-emergence through a massive renovation.  Puccio also served on the Board of Directors for the Washington Convention and Visitors Association, and is a member of the Washington, D.C. Chapter of Professional Convention Management Association.
