Sage Hospitality Recognizes Top Properties and
Employees from its 54 Hotels
April 1, 2010 (Denver, CO) Sage Hospitality recently held its annual Leadership Conference at the Nines Hotel in Portland, Oregon, honoring properties and employees whose performances have pegged them as models of excellence within the national hospitality leaders portfolio. Representatives from Sage Hospitalitys 54 hotels were in attendance and treated to a long weekend of strategy sessions, addresses, awards and even volunteering from March 6 to 9. Among noteworthy honors were Hotel of the Year to JW Marriott at Cherry Creek and Associate of the Year to Gloria Acevedo, the Club Lounge Concierge at Sheraton Phoenix Airport Hotel Tempe. Acevedo was selected as tops out of more than 6,000 Sage employees across the country. Also of note was the presentation of the coveted Eagle Award to Brad Robinette, Senior Vice President of Operations at Sage Hospitality, for his legendary performance over eight years at the company. The Leadership Conference wasnt all mixing, mingling and backslapping, however. Attendees spent a day spreading good works throughout the community by volunteering with local Portland organizations, including sorting recycled building supplies for resale at the ReBuilding Center; sprucing up the Ockley Green Middle School; and cleaning and polishing classical fountains for the Portland Water Bureau. The leadership conference is always eagerly anticipated, and this year was no different, bringing out the best, brightest and hardest-working within the Sage Hospitality family for recognitions well earned, said Walter Isenberg, CEO of Sage Hospitality. The Nines was the ideal backdrop for the event, and were pleased that we were able to spread positive energy through our work with community-based organizations in Portland. The list of honorees at Attainable/Sustainable Leadership 2010 includes: Hotel of the Year: JW Marriott at Cherry Creek
