The Langham Huntington in Los Angeles Appoints Rebecca
Director of Sales & Marketing and Tony Pope Director
of Food & Beverage
PASADENA, Calif. – April 6, 2010 – The Langham Huntington, Pasadena is pleased to announce the appointment of Rebecca Huetter and Tony Pope to integral positions within the hotel’s sales and operations teams. The two will also sit on the hotel’s executive committee. Each brings a significant amount of hospitality experience to the property, which will continue to strengthen The Langham’s sales efforts and its internal operations within food and beverage.
Rebecca Huetter joins The Langham Huntington, Pasadena as Director of Sales & Marketing where she will oversee the sales and marketing efforts at the hotel on a local, regional, national and international level. She brings with her an extensive background in the sales and marketing field of luxury hotels in California. Her most recent professional experience includes Director of Sales & Marketing at Thompson Beverly Hills. Prior to joining Thompson, she occupied the role of Regional Director of Sales & Marketing at Andre Balazs Properties (ABP). In addition, she was the Founder/Principal of Momentum Hospitality, Inc., a hotel management consultancy specializing in sales and marketing strategies. For an extended period of time, Ms. Huetter was also employed at The Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts U.S. Headquarters in the position of Director of Incentive Sales. Ms. Huetter received her Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from California State University in Hayward, California.
Tony Pope joins The Langham Huntington, Pasadena as Director of Food & Beverage where he will oversee all food and beverage services and outlets across the hotel, creating and implementing initiatives, and managing the property’s food and beverage team. Mr. Pope possesses 14 years of experience among a variety of leadership roles within the hospitality industry, ranging from Director of Food & Beverage to Director of Operations to General Manager. For the past six years, Mr. Pope was the General Manager of Salishan Lodge and Golf Resort in Glenden Beach, Oregon. Prior to joining Salishan Lodge and Golf Resort, he occupied the role of Area Director of Food & Beverage for Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide in White Plains, New York. At Starwood, Mr. Pope was involved with the transition task force of newly acquired properties and renovation projects during the Sheraton/Westin acquisition. He also spent a year and a half as the Director of Food & Beverage at Starwood’s Westwood Marquis, preparing it for the newly launched “W” brand. He also held the position of Director of Food & Beverage at Le Meridien Hotel at Coronado in Coronado, California. Mr. Pope obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Central Michigan University.
