The InterContinental Mark Hopkins San Francisco Promotes
Mark Oza to Director of Food & Beverage

 
(San Francisco, CA) � April 14, 2010 � The InterContinental Mark Hopkins San Francisco is excited to announce the promotion of Mark Oza from Assistant Director of Food & Beverage to Director of Food & Beverage.  As part of the InterContinental Mark Hopkins team since 2007, Oza is responsible for day-to-day banquet operations covering over 19,000 square feet of event and meeting space, in-room dining, and the legendary Top of the Mark lounge at this 380-room hotel located in San Francisco�s Nob Hill. 
 
Bringing more than 25 years of experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry to the InterContinental Mark Hopkins, Oza�s career began in Australia where he held management positions at fine dining destinations throughout Melbourne including several restaurants at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne, Hyatt Regency and The Park Royal. Later, Oza joined the Sofitel team as Food and Beverage Manager, overseeing the property�s four restaurants, three bars, 50,000 square feet of banquet space and the in-room dining program.   
 
After nearly three years with the Sofitel in Melbourne, Oza moved to the United States, accepting the position of Director of Banquets at Hotel Sofitel San Francisco Bay. He continued to enhance his food and beverage experience as the Director of Food and Beverage at the Marriot in San Mateo and later returned to the Hotel Sofitel San Francisco Bay as Director of Banquets. In 2007, Oza joined the InterContinental Mark Hopkins team as Assistant Director of Food & Beverage leading banquet managers and chefs while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the department.
