SEATTLE, April 27, 2010 / -- The Dow Hotel Company, LLC, (DHC) a hotel ownership investment and management company, today announced that Kevin Schjei has been named general manager of the company's 161-room Crowne Plaza Lake Oswego in suburban Portland, owned by a joint venture between New Jersey-based Prudential Real Estate Investors and DHC.  Previously the rooms division manager for Dow's Hilton Hotel Bellevue in Washington, Schjei began his career with the Crowne Plaza Lake Oswego nearly a decade ago.

"Kevin has developed into one of our finest managers, having achieved some of the highest guest service scores in our portfolio," said Murray Dow, president of The Dow Hotel Company.  "He has a great working knowledge of both the region and the Lake Oswego market specifically, which will allow him to hit the ground at full speed.  We are confident that he will build on the hotel's already strong market leadership."

Schjei has worked his entire career as a member of the Dow Hotel Company team, with a steady progression of higher positions of importance.  During his tenure with the company, Schjei also completed DHC's extensive general manager's training program.  He began his career at the Crowne Plaza Lake Oswego, rising to the position of front office manager.  He was promoted to rooms division manager at the 353-room Hilton Bellevue in Washington in 2007.
 
Schjei holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon.
