Newport Harbor Corporation Promotes Casey Riley to Chief Operating Officer,
Overseeing all Dining and Hotel Operations

Newport, RI April 12, 2010 Newport Harbor Corporation is pleased to announce that Chef Casey Riley has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer, overseeing all of the companys dining and hotel operations, including culinary, beverage and hospitality programming at the Companys hospitality venues including: Castle Hill Inn & Resort, 22 Bowens Wine Bar & Grille, The Mooring Seafood Kitchen & Bar, The Smokehouse Café, The Boat House, Trio restaurant, Waterman Grille and Hemenways Seafood Grill.

In his new post, Riley now oversees the operations at each property, including the financial management and performance, guest loyalty programs, new product research, culinary development, quality assurance, and the professional training and development of all operations management and service staff.

From the kitchen to the boardroom, Riley first began his career a decade ago at award-winning Relais & Chateaux property, Castle Hill Inn & Resort. This new opportunity represents a challenge for Riley to further the Companys hallmark of providing an exceptional culinary journey for each guest. My passion is firmly grounded in culinary excellence and ensuring that no matter what restaurant guests visit in our portfolio, they are having the best experience possible. With my expanded role, I will be able to refocus my efforts in all aspects of guest experience from culinary, to management, to service, to beverage programming, said Riley.

Previous to this post, Riley was Director of Culinary Operations overseeing all of the companys culinary and hospitality operations with a focus on culinary development, hotel operations and quality assurance.

Casey has proven himself to be an instrumental part of not only our culinary division, but our operations management, as well, said Paul OReilly, Chief Executive Officer, Newport Harbor Corporation. His decade-long dedication for continuously elevating the guest experience at all of our properties has been constant and unwavering, and his support of local aquaculture and agriculture can be seen on the menus of each of our restaurants. I am pleased that Casey will take on an even larger role with the company.

A ten-year culinary veteran of Newport Harbor Corporation, Riley began his tenure as executive chef at Castle Hill Inn & Resort, creating a masterful culinary program at the inn which culminated in several invitations to the James Beard House as a guest chef, and numerous accolades and awards from local, regional and national publications.

In 2006, Chef Riley was promoted to Culinary Arts Director where he oversaw each of the companys restaurants, focusing on chef collaboration to continuously provide innovative menus at each property and to ensure the highest standards, quality and experience at each location. Chef Riley was instrumental in the menu development and execution at the companys newest restaurants, Waterman Grille in Providence and Trio in Narragansett.

Prior to joining the Newport Harbor Corporation team, Chef Riley, a New Mexico native and graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, headed up the kitchen at Agora in Providence, RI. Under his leadership, Esquire magazine named Agora as one of the Best New Restaurants in America. Through hard work and culinary excellence, Riley was invited to the renowned James Beard House to participate in the James Beard Foundations Emerging Young Chefs series in 1996, and the Rising Stars of American Cuisine in 1998. His culinary skill at the legendary Beard House paved the way for a number of personal accomplishments and restaurant honors, many on a regional and national level, including being asked back to the James Beard House as a guest chef on four occassions.  Prior to Agora, Chef Riley worked under the expert tutelage of Executive Chef and owner Frank McClelland at Bostons famed LEspalier.

Chef Riley resides in Cranston, RI, with his wife Kristen, their son, Alexander, and daughter Grace.
