Sage Hospitality Appoints Susan Lee Furbay
Vice President of Acquisitions and Business

(Denver, CO) – January 18, 2010 - Sage Hospitality Resources announced today the appointment of Susan Lee Furbay as Head of Acquisitions and Business Development for the Denver based hotel management and development company.

“We see tremendous opportunity to work with commercial lenders this coming year as they take action on non-performing loans and seek to maximize asset value,” remarks Sage Hospitality President and CEO Walter Isenberg.  “Susan’s impressive work and vision shows she’s a highly respected industry leader.   Her appointment will prove strategic for Sage on building on the positive and aggressive goals we’ve set for 2010.”

Furbay joins Sage Hospitality after five years as Director of North America Lending in GE Real Estate’s Hospitality division.  At GE Real Estate, Furbay was instrumental in major transactions, originating and closing 18 loan transactions totaling more than $400 million.   During her tenure, Furbay also created a joint venture and co-invested GE equity with an opportunistic hotel fund, giving GE priority debt financing with the fund sponsor.  For the success of this endeavor, Furbay was awarded GE’s Pioneering Award for establishing a new investment platform within the hospitality team.

Prior to GE Real Estate, Furbay was Vice President of Hospitality Brokerage at Molinaro Koger in Washington, D.C. where she was responsible for sourcing and marketing new brokerage listings for luxury, full-service and mid-market hotels to prospective investors.

Furbay started her career at Merrill Lynch in their Derivatives Valuation Group.  She graduated with her B.S. from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.
