Koerbel as general manager.  With over 30 years of hospitality experience, Koerbel takes the reins during a resort-wide renewal for the property�s 50th anniversary in 2012, including $16 million invested in the past year alone.

Part of the Marriott family since 1980, Koerbel most recently served as the regional vice president of Renaissance Hotels North America, a position he held since 2003. Previously, he had served as the Midwest area general manager for Renaissance Hotels.  Koerbel was also general manager within Marriott in Chicago, Detroit and Dayton, Ohio. A leader in the industry, Koerbel has received numerous accolades throughout his celebrated career including Marriott International, Inc.�s General Manager of the Year and Leadership Excellence awards.
 
Koerbel earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University.  He is married and has twin 15-year-old sons, Caleb and Zachary, with his wife Juli.  Koerbel�s family will be relocating from Chicago in the near future.
