Transfer of Knowledge was a Central Theme for EHTEC 2010

AUSTIN, TEXAS, USA (February 24, 2010) – Learning how to share the knowledge gained during the 2010 European Hospitality Technology Educational Conference (EHTEC) stood as a central theme throughout the recently-held conference, assisting delegates navigating through the complex hospitality technology world. EHTEC 2010, produced by Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®), included two full days of focused technology education and various networking opportunities with peers and vendors from 30 countries. The conference was February 14-16 at the Amsterdam Hilton in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

"Technology is constantly changing and just when hoteliers get used to new terminologies, acronyms and their functionality, the next generation and inventions are upon us," said Michael Levie, CEO of CitizenM and EHTEC Advisory Council chair. "EHTEC 2010 did a great job of bringing hospitality technology together with the hotelier, focusing on sharing knowledge so the delegates could return to their properties well versed on current technology issues."

Over the past four years, the popular conference has been instrumental in bringing the latest technology information to its delegates. The EHTEC Advisory Council, a group of global hospitality experts, designed the education program to highlight tough technology issues like the recession's impact on technology, cloud computing, mobile distribution and more. The conference then went a step further by immersing the delegates in each topic by updating, informing and explaining all aspects and functionality.

Questions and answer opportunities further encouraged these conversations and paved the way to comprehensive understanding of future technology. A Roundtable Luncheon was a popular way for delegates to learn more about hospitality technology topics, as well as discover how others are dealing with each issue. Delegates were also able to network between education sessions and during the Gala Dinner.
