Four-Star Property Selected New Code UN as part of Luxury Collection
NEW YORK CITY February 10, 2010 - Royal Park Hotel, a four-star, Detroit hotel that evokes the feeling of the fine country manor homes of England, announced it has adopted CARINO Hotels and Resorts Worldwides Global Distribution System (GDS) code UN. CARINO Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, a sales and customer information company dedicated to assisting luxury hotels, launched the GDS code so that participating members will now be able to see and track directly the measurable results that the organization delivers. We are so excited about the wonderful prospects for our members with the GDS chain code, said Joe Carino, president, CARINO Hotels and Resorts Worldwide. We look forward to assisting Royal Park Hotel as well as the rest of our member properties, as a one-stop shop offering revenue and reservations support as well. Not only does the GDS chain code UN provide the ability for members to track the source of all reservations, it also opens up new opportunities for exposure and promotion of the properties. Seamless connectivity allows members to enter their data once and feed it across multiple channels, providing maximum exposure to more customers. The GDS chain code feeds information to major travel agency systems including Sabre, Amadeus/Apollo/Gallileo, and Worldspan that connect directly to more than 600,000 travel agencies worldwide. In turn, these systems power consumer travel websites such as Orbitz, Travelocity and Expedia, among others. Thus, the GDS code also allow CARINO Hotels and Resorts Worldwide members to reach both businesses and consumers concurrently for the very first time ever since the organizations inception. We are very energized by the opportunity to partner with CARINO Hotels
and Resorts Worldwide. Their GDS code will allow us access to markets that
have been untapped. said Susan Keels, Director of Sales and Marketing
for Royal Park Hotel. Our hotel offers relaxed elegance with exquisite
amenities and appointments, but most importantly it offers our guest a
tremendous value during this difficult economic downturn. We know that
CARINO will introduce our hotel to both the domestic and international
traveler as a cant miss proposition. This partnership will maximize
our exposure throughout the world and create new opportunities for future
guests and clients.
In addition to the GDS chain code, CARINO Hotels and Resorts Worldwide launched www.carinohotels.com, as well as a new 800 number and call center services for member properties. CARINO Hotels and Resorts Worldwide also recently changed its name from CARINO Collection in order to reflect a more global focus, and has re-branded the organization.
