New Choice Hotels Effective Sales
System Program Taps d’Orleans Hospitality
Silver Spring, Md. (November 13, 2009) – Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE: CHH), with d’Orleans Hospitality Training, announces the launch of the new comprehensive Choice Hotels Effective Sales System (CHESS) workshop, available for use by its franchisees and their associates. The workshop’s main focus is to provide Choice-brand hotel management with strategies and tactics to perform in today’s economic environment.
“This new program that we’ve made available to our franchises is yet another way that we at Choice Hotels are constantly looking to provide useful and informational resources that can help our properties succeed in today’s environment,” said Bob Kerr, project director of certification programs for learning and performance solutions at Choice Hotels. “The CHESS workshop gives franchisees effective take-away tactics and strategies that they can immediately implement at their properties.”
Jeanne d’Orleans, principal of d’Orleans Hospitality Training, developed the new multi-day workshop for Choice in order to meet the current sales and marketing needs of management at Choice brand properties. Working with key internal subject matter experts and utilizing her 20-plus years of hotel sales experience, d’Orleans crafted an opportunity to learn what it takes to overcome the challenges of the current financial climate. Combining foundation skills of professional sales with today’s 2.0 technologies, CHESS participants are gaining an effective approach to build revenue for their hotels.

The CHESS program is currently being offered at the Choice Hotels Corporate Learning Center at the company’s headquarters in Silver Spring, Md., as well as at multiple locations across the United States.
