Singapore, 3 December, 2009 - Pan Pacific Hotels Group has announced the appointment of Jeffrey Ong as General Manager, Pan Pacific Suzhou.
In his new appointment, Jeffrey will oversee operations at the 484-room Pan Pacific Suzhou (formerly the Sheraton Suzhou Hotel and Towers), which will officially open on 11 January 2010. Already an architectural landmark in Suzhou, the hotel unveiled its new Towers Wing, with 99 deluxe rooms and suites, earlier this year. Before its opening in January, key areas have been identified for enhancements and upgrades that will align the hotel to the renowned Pan Pacific brand standards of hospitality - synonymous with personalised care and a culture of subtleness, delicate service and attention to detail.
Jeffrey joins Pan Pacific Hotels Group from InterContinental Hotels Group where he has been the last three years. His most recent role was that of General Manager of the InterContinental Hotel in Dalian which he assumed after a very distinguished posting with the InterContinental Hotel Hong Kong. Previously, Jeffrey also spent 10 years with Raffles International in both Singapore and in Osaka, Japan.
Hailing from Singapore, Jeffrey holds an MBA (Hospitality and Tourism Management) and a Diploma in Japanese Language Studies from Kyoto University of Foreign Studies. He is also proficient in Mandarin, Cantonese and Taiwanese.
“With his extensive hotelier background and passion for the industry, Jeffrey will no doubt be able to lead our efforts to build Pan Pacific’s presence, in not just Suzhou, but also the rest of the China market,” said A. Patrick Imbardelli, President and CEO of Pan Pacific Hotels Group.
“I am extremely excited to join the Pan Pacific family. With it being a leading hotel company in Asia and its expansion plan for Greater China, I feel tremendously honoured to be part of Pan Pacific Hotels Group and leading the team at one of the most iconic hotels in Suzhou,” said Jeffrey Ong. “Pan Pacific Suzhou will be a leader, trendsetter, redefine new standards in service excellence and give new meaning to luxury hospitality.”
