James Hubbell and family pioneer
beauty as a door to change,
green construction through straw
bale techniques
ATLANTA, September 28, 2009 - Softscribe Inc., a 10-year-old
technology Internet
public relations firm that drives sales for companies targeting the
green
tourism and hospitality, green
government and related markets, today announced the Ilan Lael Foundation
retained its services to develop and execute a brand strategy to build
global visibility. Internationally known artist, James Hubbell, created
the 501(c) (3) non-profit foundation 22 years ago with his wife, Anne.
Its mission is to integrate arts, nature and beauty into the lives of individuals
and communities. The Foundation maintains the Ilan-Lael property in Santa
Ysabel, CA as a place for artists and the community to make the vital connection
between people, art, and nature in order to create a more sustainable and
harmonious world.
Hubbell works both solo and collaboratively with his architect-son, Drew Hubbell, via their architectural firm Hubbell and Hubbell, a separate entity from the Ilan Lael Foundation. The team works with clients, architects, designers, artisans and fellow visionaries to marry soul-stirring beauty to the practicalities of living in harmony with nature. Drew Hubbell worked with regulatory agencies to develop the use of more sustainable materials and processes, and pioneered permitted straw bale structures in San Diego city and county. Its a great privilege to work with James and his team, said Julie Keyser-Squires, Softscribe Inc. CEO. She was tapped to give a five-minute presentation entitled Beauty for Change on James Hubbells lifework at the first Ignite Atlanta gathering in September 2009.
