Shaner Hotels and Prime Group Open New 126-Room
Hampton Inn & Suites in Homestead, Florida
Hotel Showcases Hampton's Nationwide
State College, PA September
17, 2009 –Hilton Hotels Corporation announced the recent opening of the
Hampton Inn & Suites Miami –South – Homestead Florida.
Located at 2855 N.E. 9th Street, Homestead, Florida,
the hotel will operate as a Hampton Inn franchise owned by Prime Group
of Hollywood, Florida.
In its first venture with Prime Group, Shaner Hotels based out of State
based will manage the property.
The new hotel features new elements – which are part of an industry leading ground-breaking project called “Make It Hampton” – that can be divided into four overall areas that include:
The Welcome—the hotel’s changes start at its entrance with new outdoor planter gardens that discreetly hide the trash and ashtray containers, “red carpet” welcome mats, new black and white artwork in the vestibule and lobby, and a compilation of music played throughout public-space areas that celebrates travel, and complementary wireless hi-speed internet available throughout the lobby area.
Guest Room and Bathroom Upgrades—as a new standard service, guest room lighting and temperature are pre-set for comfort for each guest. A portable “lap desk” is available in every room for use with laptops, reading or eating. Each of the hotel’s 126 rooms and suites rooms has high-speed Internet access. Most noticeable is Hampton’s signature alarm clock radio, engineered by the chain to provide easy-to-find music stations and universal easy-to-follow instructions for setting the alarm – a common frustration for travelers. Other amenities include new plush pillows and bath towels, curved shower rods, a redesigned shower curtain that let’s light “in;” a nightlight and a totally new line of signature Hampton bath products called “Purity Basics.”
“On The HouseTM Hot Breakfast” and “Hampton’s On the RunTM Breakfast Bag”—The hotel’s complimentary breakfast features new offerings which include a new hot menu daily and breakfast for those on the run. Its breakfast offerings take into account a variety of tastes and low-carb diets, from eggs and sausage to waffles and French toast sticks. A new contemporary style and display ware aims to give breakfast – one of the top three areas impacting hotel satisfaction– a personal touch of fun and color, as well as easy to find “zones” of hot and cold products. Hampton’s On the Runä Breakfast Bags are another new innovative concept for the hurried traveler in the morning, and will be available on kiosks at the front desk, complimentary, Monday through Friday. Each bag contains fruit, a Kellogg’s® cereal bar, an Otis Spunkmeyer® muffin and bottled water.
100% Hampton Program—As the first hotel brand to introduce a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee, Hampton is re-invigorating the guarantee with renewed emphasis of its promise on signage, key cards and in other areas. The Hampton guarantee is the brand’s most powerful program, still committed to promising satisfaction with each stay, or that stay is free.
Edgardo Rodriguez, general manager of the Hampton hotel, said the new elements will be a pleasant surprise for it’s’ guests. “Business and leisure travelers alike are very receptive to the quality lodging alternative and consistency of Hampton Inns.” Rodriguez said. “Now, they will have an opportunity to experience the personality of Hampton with new services at our hotel that no other midpriced brand offers in this market.”
Located 23 miles from Miami International Airport and 29 miles from Key Largo, the Hampton Inn & Suites Miami –South – Homestead Florida offers its’ guests convenient access to the Florida Turnpike, Biscayne National Park, Everglades National Park and the area’s renowned diving, snorkeling, boating and deep sea fishing. The five-story hotel features three meeting rooms totaling 2,002 square feet to accommodate small meetings and functions of up to 250 people.
