CHICAGO (September 17, 2009) Hyatt Hotels & Resorts and St. Michaels Foundation, Ltd. announce the signing of a management agreement for Park Hyatt St. Kitts at Cockleshell Bay.

To be located on the islands southeastern peninsula against a breathtaking backdrop of pristine white sand beach, Park Hyatt St. Kitts will boast 125 rooms and a state-of-the-art luxury spa featuring eight treatment rooms. The Cockleshell Bay development will also feature 100 Park Hyatt-branded residential townhouses and condominiums, and 86 estate villas, which will deliver the same sophisticated design and discriminating service for which the Park Hyatt brand is globally known. St. Kitts offers a tropical landscape unlike any other Caribbean destination, and were confident this development will showcase how the island offers something for all travelers, from our chic capital city of Basseterre to lush rainforests and everything in between, said Chris Kanahai, chief executive officer, St. Michaels Foundation. Hyatt Hotels & Resorts and the Park Hyatt brand share St. Michaels Foundations commitment to excellence and I know we are leading a new area of tourism in St. Kitts that will benefit the region in many ways.
