Colin Gold Named General Manager of The Trump International Beach Resort,
Sunny Isles Beach, Florida

Sunny Isles Beach, Florida (September 14, 2009) - The Trump International Beach Resort, a contemporary Mobil 4-star oceanfront resort located in the exclusive enclave of Sunny Isles Beach, has appointed Colin Gold as General Manager.
 
A member of the Trump International team since 2004 and the previous Resort Manager of Trump International Beach Resort, Colin Gold will be responsible in his new role as General Manager for overseeing and maintaining all aspects of the Resort’s operations, management and promotion of the 390-room lavishly appointed oceanfront Resort, which recently became a member of the renowned Leading Hotels of the World.  Mr. Gold will additionally lead the property’s management company, International Resorts Management Group. 
 
“Mr. Gold exudes a passion for the industry that exceeds far beyond the Resort doors and into the local community,” says Jens Grafe, former General Manager of the Trump International Beach Resort. “An unparalleled candidate for the position, he spearheaded a countless number of initiatives in his previous role as Resort Manager, which have been a major contributor to the overall success of the Resort.”
 
As Resort Manager of Trump International Beach Resort, Mr. Gold was responsible for the operation of the resort department-wide, leading Sales and Revenue teams, and implementing a Guest Relations Program. He also successfully organized and adopted eco-friendly practices and services into the Resort’s daily operations. Under Mr. Gold’s direction, a “Green Team” was formed among the Resort’s top management officials to work and improve upon already existing “green” programs as well as initiate new ones.  Several eco-sound practices adopted and upheld at the Resort include the use of an Electrolyzer water system to clean guest rooms and public areas, use of an energy efficient air filter, active recycling in all guest rooms and offices, a towel and linen reuse program, the recent installment of a high energy efficient lighting system, utilization of all natural and eco-friendly product lines and procedures at their in-house salon, the Debra Ordway Salon, and a children’s eco-education program through the Trump International Beach Resort’s Planet Kids program and the Resort’s community outreach program, Make A Difference.  Trump International Beach Resort was recently recognized for their success in implementing its number of eco-friendly initiatives when they received the prestigious One Palm designation in the Florida Green Lodging program, a program established by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) that recognizes Florida’s true environmental leaders in the hospitality industry.
 
Boasting an extensive background in the hospitality industry, prior to Trump International Beach Resort, Mr. Gold held significant positions in hotel management operations at a number of Hyatt Hotel & Resort properties including the Hyatt Regency Jersey City and The Stanhope Park Hyatt New York where he served as Executive Assistant Manager for three years. Mr. Gold also worked at Grand Hyatt New York; Hyatt Regency San Francisco; Hyatt Regency Alicante in Anaheim, California; Resort Squaw Creek in Lake Tahoe, California; and Hyatt at Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco, California.
 
Mr. Gold earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts.
