Historic Green Park Inn in Blowing Rock, North Carolina on Auction Block

July 7, 2009;  Blowing Rock, NC – The famous Green Park Inn which was a mountain retreat for guests like Herbert Hoover and Eleanor Roosevelt, will be offered by its owner at public auction at the end of July. The inn rests at the Eastern Continental Divide at 3,620’ above sea level.
The Inn is on the National Register of Historic Places. It has 86 guest rooms and meeting space. The Blowing Rock Country Club is a neighbor to one side of the Inn. Stating that it is time to pursue other interest, the owner has chosen the auction method to sell this historic inn.
