Matt Brody of JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa
Begins Third Term on MPI Board of Directors


Tucson, Ariz. (8/7/09) – Meeting Professionals International (MPI) has announced its 2009-2010 International Board of Directors. Included in the slate of returning executive committee and board members is Matt Brody, Director of Sales and Marketing for JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa in Tucson, Arizona. Brody will serve his third straight year on the MPI Board of Directors.
 
“It’s an honor to serve a third term on the MPI board of Directors,” said Brody. “I have had the distinct pleasure of contributing to MPI in a variety of leadership positions over the years. As a past member and chair of many key MPI committees, I’m delighted once again to be able to serve MPI’s global membership on the board. This upcoming year will be a very crucial time in the meetings industry.”
 
There are 13 members appointed to the MPI Board of Directors.
 
Brody’s extensive meeting industry knowledge and hospitality experience will be critical to the MPI Board. His career spans over 25 years. Brody, a former Disney executive, joined forces with Marriott International in 2004 after a long career in the Resorts and Parks division at Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
 
MPI helps its 24,000-plus members in 70 countries achieve success through professional development, industry awareness and business development opportunities. The organization also publishes the award-winning One+ magazine.
