Singapore, 30 July, 2009 - Pan Pacific Hotels Group announces the appointment of Francois Sigrist as General Manager of Parkroyal Penang in Malaysia. An established hotelier since 1981, François� previous appointments were with hotel companies such as Four Seasons, Shangri-La and InterContinental. A Swiss national, François� geographically diverse experience spans Geneva, Switzerland and USA to Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia. His last position was at Meritus Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa in Langkawi, Malaysia. His appointment at Parkroyal Penang also brings François back to the state he previously spent nearly a decade at as General Manager at Equatorial Hotel. François� love for Penang, as well as his intimate knowledge of the popular holiday destination, are invaluable in his new position. �As people are our foremost asset, François� contribution to the group will be significant.
