Bellstar Hotels & Resorts to Manage Mountain Spirit Resort and Spa,
Kimberley, British Columbia

.

Kimberley, BC: The developer of Mountain Spirit Resort & Spa, Chisa Resources, is pleased to announce that the hotel management contract has been awarded to Calgary-based Bellstar Hotels & Resorts. This brand new 68-suite resort opened in June, and now offers the region's only ski in-ski out luxury accommodation at the base of Kimberley Alpine Resort, in the Kootenay Rockies region of British Columbia.

"The incredible resort we envisioned for Kimberley has now come to fruition; but to see the vision completed we needed a management company that could maintain the high standards we had set," said Allyson Blake, Marketing Director for Real Estate at Mountain Spirit Resort & Spa. "With Bellstar's mission 'to deliver exceptional resort experiences,' we felt this made them a great fit for the resort."

"The addition of Mountain Spirit Resort & Spa to Bellstar's collection adds a new winter dynamic to our exceptional resort destinations," says Jon Zwickel, Executive VP of Bellstar. "The slope-side resort will bring Bellstar's loyal following of guests to the Kootenay region while allowing Mountain Spirit owners the opportunity to benefit from Bellstar's strong operational structure and wide-reaching marketing abilities."

A mix of fully-furnished studio, 1-, 2- & 3-Bedroom Suites are currently available for nightly accommodation and are also offered for guests to call home by purchasing quarter or whole ownership in the Suite of their choice. Spa-inspired from inception, the Suites are infused with the region's natural palette of soothing earth tones creating a sanctuary for owners. Luxurious stand-alone soaker tubs, in-suite fireplaces and stunning mountain views complete the Mountain Spirit experience.

Guests experience true ski in and ski out access to the slopes, ski storage and an outdoor heated pool and hot tub. A 6,000 sq. ft. spa and wellness centre and restaurant are on the imminent horizon. Upon completion, Mountain Spirit will boast the only resort spa in Kimberley.

Located in the Kootenay region of British Columbia's southeast, the boutique, alpine destination is nestled at the base of Kimberley Alpine Resort, a few minutes walk from Trickle Creek Golf Course, with immediate access to outdoor adventures including fly fishing, hiking, rafting and more. Mountain Spirit is easily accessible by air with direct flights from Calgary, Vancouver and Salt Lake City, Utah, to Canadian Rockies International Airport in Cranbrook, 20 minutes away; and a short 4 hour drive from Calgary.

Mountain Spirit Resort & Spa will host its official Grand Opening later this winter.

As the first ski resort for Bellstar, the addition of Mountain Spirit Resort & Spa to Bellstar's portfolio rounds out the growing collection of 12 boutique hotels and destination resorts in Western Canada's key tourism destinations including Alberta's Rocky Mountains and in British Columbia's Okanagan Valley, Kootenays and Coastal Regions. The boutique hospitality brand combines award-winning service, employment standards and marketing excellence to deliver exceptional resort experiences for guests and owners alike.
