Accor Asia Pacific Expansion Continues with Five
New Pullman Hotels in China, Thailand and Vietnam

August 4, 2009  - Pullman hotels designed for the modern business and leisure traveler, announced today the addition of 5 hotels to its ever growing network in Asia.  The new hotel developments are located in China, Thailand and Vietnam adding to the current operating network of 10 Pullman hotels and resorts in Asia and extending the development commitments to 17 hotels.

Gaurav Bhushan - Senior Vice President Development, Accor Asia Pacific says "The Pullman brand is being very well received by owners looking for a new style of 5 star hotel, one that dispenses with need to over invest in construction and hardware.  The extraordinary rate of expansion of the Pullman network throughout Asia, is testimony to the formidable combination of Accor and Pullman - an international hotel management company with significant infrastructure and platforms in the region, and a hotel brand with characteristics that appeal to modern travelers. The tightening of credit markets has challenged the expansion for traditional 5 star hotel brands and created a niche for the Pullman Brand to expand."

Pullman Hanoi Horison after extensive renovations which are due for completion in mid 2011, the Horison Hotel Hanoi will join the Pullman network.  The hotel with 250 rooms is located in the prime city location on Cat Linh Street with close proximity to the Gian Vo Exhibition Centre.  The hotel has event facilities to cater to 1000 delegates.

These new developments are in addition to the previously announced commitments for 12 Pullman hotels to open in China, Indonesia, India and Vietnam.

The Pullman network today

Today there are 10 Pullman hotels and resorts throughout Asia and 39 around the globe.  The brand is on track to achieve its development ambitions of 50 hotels globally by year end and 300 hotels by 2015.

Bhushan added "The Pullman Brand was reinvented with strong development prospects in Asia anticipated.  The rapid expansion both in terms of the number of operating hotels today and the commitment to development has surpassed our expectations and we are well on track towards having 100 Pullman hotels throughout Asia Pacific by 2015."

The launch of Pullman brand is a part of Accor's strategy to maintain a comprehensive brand strategy with a network of coherent hotels.
