 Loews Miami Beach Hotel Takes Two Key Awards at Loews Hotels
 National Meeting, "Hotel of the Year" & Debbie Castillo
 Named "Marketer of the Year"


MIAMI BEACH, Fla. -- May 11, 2009 – Loews Miami Beach Hotel located in the heart of the South Beach, and one of the most successful hotel’s in the destination for the last 10 years – has been chosen as "Hotel of the Year" by Loews Hotels, additionally, Regional Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Debbie Castillo, was also named “Marketer of the Year.”

 

Loews Miami Beach Hotel received this recognition based on the hotel’s outstanding overall performance, excellence and personification of the Loews Brand Promise in 2008. Despite the economic downturn, the hotel had a record year from revenues, to employee retention to community relations.

 

The criteria for consideration of "Hotel of the Year" is based on more than 20 categories including commitment to brand loyalty, evidence that guests satisfaction is exceeded, innovative practices to improve service, Team Member satisfaction and  overall financial performance.

The “Marketer of the Year” is given to an individual who goes above and beyond in the sales and marketing area. In addition to her role in overseeing all aspects of sales and marketing, revenue management, reservations and public relations for Loews Miami Beach Hotel, Castillo also has regional responsibilites for most of the Resorts in the Loews portfolio. Her other hotels include Loews Coronado Bay Resort, the Don CeSar Beach Resort, a Loews Hotel, Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort and Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel.
