Kurt Zuger Appointed Executive Chef for the
Westin Westminster in Colorado

WESTMINSTER, Colo. (May 6, 2009) – The Westin Westminster is pleased to announce that it has hired Kurt Zuger to serve as the hotel’s new Executive Chef. 
Mr. Zuger has been the Executive Chef at The Wigwam Golf Resort & Spa in Litchfield Park, Arizona since 2003. He previously worked at The Buttes, A Marriott Resort in Tempe, Arizona, the Scottsdale Princess Hotel in Scottsdale, Arizona and the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa in Phoenix.
“Kurt is a great leader and we are thrilled to have him join The Westin Westminster team” said General Manager Dani Stern, who worked with Mr. Zuger at The Wigwam Golf Resort & Spa. “We are excited to have him help us take our food and beverage offerings to the next level.”

As Executive Chef, Zuger will oversee the menus and operations at The Westin Westminster’s more than 30,000 square feet of state-of-the-art meeting and banquet space, as well as the hotel’s highly acclaimed restaurant, O’s Steak & Seafood. With a contemporary elegant décor, O’s features exceptional cuisine - including Certified Angus Beef and fresh fish flown in daily from both coasts - served in a beautiful airy space that includes a large outdoor patio complete with a fire pit and gorgeous views of the majestic Rocky Mountains.

Managed by Denver-based Sage Hospitality Resources, The Westin Westminster is currently undergoing a $9 million renovation, with upgrades including a refreshed contemporary Colorado décor and the installation of wireless high speed Internet throughout the hotel. Each of The Westin Westminster’s 369 guest rooms has a new flat screen television and Westin Heavenly Bed, along with updated lighting and paint.
