May 29, 2009 Duxbury, MA. The Providence Group, LLC, a Massachusetts-based full service hospitality management company, announced today that President Jed C. Heller will serve as a panelist at the 10th Anniversary U.S. Real Estate Opportunity & Private Fund Investing Forum, to be held June 11-12, 2009 at the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers. Heller will participate in a panel discussion led by Stephen L. Rabinowitz, Chair, NY Real Estate Department, Greenberg Traurig LLP, on Distressed Hotels: Where are the Best Investment Opportunities? The one-hour panel discussion will discuss a variety of issues involving distressed hotel investments, including exit strategies, legal and due diligence acquisition points, capital sources, distressed mixed-use projects, turnaround and repositioning strategies, and operational issues. Heller will be joined on the panel by William McInerney, Partner Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, JJ Lenhart, Vice President, Citi Property Investors, Clark W. Hanrattie, Chief Investment Officer, Hei Hotels and Resorts, Kate Hendriksen, Senior Vice President of Investment Analysis & Portfolio Management, RLJ Development, and Bob Sonnenblick, Chairman, Sonnenblick-Del Rio. Sponsored by the Information Management Network (IMN), the two day forum is designed for the fund, developer and LP communities to meet and discuss the opportunities that distressed real estate and frozen capital markets have created as well as effectively managing troubled legacy assets. In response to evolving market conditions within the fund industry, the 2009 Forum will provide a real-time reflection of market events. Given the bleak outlook for the hotel market in the year ahead, this Forum couldnt come at a better time for fund representatives, investors, advisors, developers and owners. The collective ideas that come out of these sessions may help formulate the strategies to prepare for the worst and help identify the potential investment opportunities that might be out there, said Heller.
