Enhance In-Room Automation Services IP-telephones and in-room entertainment systems |
at HITEC Niantic, Conn. June 18, 2009 You cant have too much of a good thing, and at INNCOM International Inc., based here, the company is bringing that philosophy to hotels around the world with its Integrated Room Automation System (IRAS). A significant advantage of IRAS is the extensive number and variety of third-party interfaces that can be used to expand the functionality of the system applications to other room devices and software systems, from property-management and building-automation systems to IP telephones and in-room entertainment solutions.
INNCOM has developed a system that bundles together all in-room systems for better energy efficiency and an enhanced guest experience, said John Tavares, vice president of marketing and sales for INNCOM. In addition to our popular tabletop units for guestroom controls, INNCOM provides a seamless user interface to VoIP compatible telephones and Internet-based entertainment systems via television remote controls that allows the guest to control all INNCOM guestroom devices. Whether the telephone is from Nortel (with Citrix middlewear), Teledex
(with FCS Computer Systems middlewear), Cisco, Avaya, Percipia, or Nevotek
[in development], guests can access weather, restaurant listings, movies
and entertainment channels and more with one touch on the guestroom phone,
he added. At the same time, the phone provides the ultimate in guestroom
controls by allowing guests to turn off and on lights, raise and lower
temperature, control fan functions, indicate privacy and make-up-room requests,
even open and close drapes.
We are proud to be the global leader in guestroom automation systems for the global lodging industry, with proven product, applications and technologies, said Rick Quirino, INNCOM President. The characteristics that make us unique in this domain include patented wireless technology, seamless integration of telecommunications and control functions, advanced multi-tasking software and easy-to-use human interfaces. We believe that our new solutions with several of the industrys best-of-breed technology providers will further reinforce our respective capabilities, delight our customers, and leverage our marketing efforts. INNCOM is open and willing to work with any company interesting in a third-party partnership to provide added value to their mutual clients.
