Internet, Internet protocol television ("IPTV") and Video-on-Demand
(“VOD”) in High Definition ("HD") into the Northstar® Lodge –
Hyatt®
Residence Club, located at the north end of Lake Tahoe, California.
The Northstar Lodge comes complete with high quality wired and wireless internet access and HD entertainment programming services from the leading providers of HD content, delivering 64 channels of Free-to-Guest ("FTG") television content including 33 channels of HD through a mixed IP/COAX infrastructure to each of their 96 televisions located throughout 32 units and the public spaces on the property. "It is encouraging to see smaller properties invest in the technology and services to provide their guests with the high quality amenities they have become accustomed to," said Arnon Levy, CEO of Guest-Tek. "Guest-Tek is pleased to be working with Hyatt Vacation Ownership, Inc. and its Northstar Lodge and Hyatt Siesta Key locations to deliver high quality internet, HD IPTV and VOD products to luxury vacation rental resorts.” Guest-Tek is also providing the Hyatt Siesta Key resort with VOD services and 64 channels of FTG television programming, including 33 channels in HD, over a converged IP network in 44 luxurious vacation club residences. VOD and/or IPTV services will be available on over 185 televisions throughout the spacious guest rooms, public viewing areas, and outdoor cabanas. Both wired and wireless High Speed Internet will be available in all guest room units and throughout the public areas of the property. The Hyatt Siesta Key is set to open in July 2009.
