| (TALLAHASSEE, FL – 06/29/09) As construction crews work feverishly through the hot Florida summer toward a late August opening date, McKibbon Hotel Management, Inc. of Tampa, Florida is proud to introduce the leadership team for the new Aloft Tallahassee Downtown hotel property, located at 200 North Monroe Street. As a Vision of W Hotels, Aloft is establishing a presence in the lodging industry with urban-influenced design, accessible technology, style and a social atmosphere. Cara Hardiman has been selected as the hotel’s general manager. A graduate of Florida State University, Cara has been a resident of Tallahassee for the last ten years, nine of which she has worked as a hotel general manager. Previous assignments for Cara include both Marriott and Hilton properties. Emily Johnson-Truitt will lead the hotel’s sales efforts as the director of sales. Emily has previously worked in the hospitality industry in a variety of roles, from front desk clerk to senior sales manager. She has lived in the Tallahassee community for the past year and a half, and most recently worked for Tallahassee’s Convention and Visitor’s Bureau as a sales manager.  Director

review plans for the new Aloft Tallahassee Downtown Hotel with Project Superintendent Frank Gizzo of Kellogg & Kimsey, Inc. Working on-site, Cara and Emily meet regularly with construction crew leaders to check on the progress of the property, and have been concentrating their efforts on getting out into the community to educate the public about this unique new brand of hotel, geared toward the up-and-coming generation of business and leisure travelers. A Facebook page has been set up to provide ‘fans’ with day-to-day updates on the hotel’s progress and offerings at www.aloftdowntowntallahassee.com. The Aloft Tallahassee Downtown is scheduled to open on August 27, and will be only the second Aloft Hotel in the state, following a property in Jacksonville that is scheduled to open a few weeks earlier. Aloft Tallahassee Downtown is located on the site of the historic Floridan Hotel, at the southwest corner of North Monroe and Tennessee Streets, within walking distance to the State Capitol, City Hall and the United States Courthouse, as well as downtown Tallahassee’s shopping, nightlife and restaurants. The 162-room hotel will have 2,250 square feet of meeting space, and will incorporate intuitive technologies and atmospheric public spaces.
