April 24, 2009 - Phuket’s newest and hottest
luxury resort,
Paresa,
scheduled to open summer 2009 announces the appointment of Scot Toon to
the position of general manager. Scot is taking over the
pre-opening operation of Paresa, bringing with him a wealth of previous
experience having spent five years in resort management with the
award-winning Per AQUUM group. Establishing his career in human resources at Hayman Island Resort in Australia, Scot then went on further his experience in this field at the Stamford Grand in Sydney. Scot joined Per AQUMM in 2003 as director of human resources where he managed the recruitment and training of all the staff for the opening of Dhoni Mighili and Huvafen Fushi. He went on to work across the Per AQUUM portfolio as a general manager, helping the hotel group gain international recognition. Before joining Paresa, Scot’s career took him to Borneo where he built on his managerial experience at Preferred Boutique Hotels, Gayana Eco Resort and Bunga Raya Resort & Spa. In a hands-on operational role he focused on developing the newly refurbished property to deliver the required high standards of an international five star resort. Situated on the Andaman coast, Paresa is a stunning hotel built into the cliff-side, set amidst lush tropical gardens with breathtaking ocean views. Paresa’s elegant villas and chic interiors are destined to rival the best in Phuket and offer private infinity pools from which guests can enjoy the spectacular surroundings. |
