Conference speakers included John Keeling - PKF; Robin Rodriguez - TravelClick; Gary Cook � ING Financial Advisors; Martha Bader � Buy Efficient; and Jeff Erickson � The Hotel Sales Coach. The theme of the conference was �Weathering the Storm Together,� and other presentation topics included Preventing Identity Theft, Revenue Management, Cost Containment, and Setting GM Sales Goals. A Town Hall Meeting gave the attendees the opportunity to ask questions of HMC officers and corporate staff, and discuss pertinent issues.

Awards were presented to HMC�s outstanding properties for 2008 at a gala banquet and awards ceremony on the last evening of the conference:

• The award for HMC�s Full-Service Property of the Year was won by the Sheraton Harrisburg Hershey in Harrisburg, PA, and was accepted by Tom Dickert, the hotel�s general manager and the Regional Director of Operations, and Keith Komon, the hotel�s assistant general manager,

• The Select-Service Property of the Year award was presented to the LaQuinta Inn & Suites North in Lubbock, TX, and accepted by Nathan Little, the general manager.

• Additional awards for 2008 were presented to the Hilton Garden Inn Tulsa Airport, the Days Inn DFW North, and the Radisson Penn Harris.
