Following are highlights of the top award winners including Hotel of the Year, General Manager of the Year and Employee of the Year. Top-Performing Hotels Country Inns & Suites By Carlson honored 57 of its hotels with President's and President's Gold Awards, based on exceptional guest satisfaction performance in 2008. is presented to the property that displayed outstanding sales and marketing
efforts, distinguished itself with a high level of commitment to guest
service, supported the Country Inns & Suites brand and has had exceptional
financial success.
Country Inn & Suites By Carlson Washington Dulles Airport 45620 Falke Plaza, Sterling, Virginia The White Glove Award, given annually to the hotel that achieves top scores on both guest room cleanliness and bathroom cleanliness as voted on by guests for 2008, was awarded to the Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Stockton, Ill. The Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Stockton also received the Guest Satisfaction Award, which is given to the hotel that achieves the highest overall guest satisfaction rating. The Guest Choice Award, which honors the hotel that achieved top loyalty performance in terms of guests' intent to return, was awarded to the Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Lawrenceville, Ga. The New Hotel of the Year Award, recognizing commitment and performance to guest satisfaction, effective brand standards implementation, and proactive sales & marketing, was presented to the Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Athens, Ga. Employee Awards Diane D'Amico, general manager of the Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Pineville, La., was honored as Country Inns & Suites By Carlson's 2008 General Manager of the Year. The award is presented to the general manager who has provided the highest standards of leadership, particularly in the areas of sales and profit achievement, guest service and human resource development. The Country Inns & Suites By Carlson Employee of the Year Award was presented to Julie Swanson, front desk manager at the Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Marquette, Mich. Swanson was the employee who by attitude and action most displayed the spirit of Country Hospitality in 2008, and is considered a team player who consistently goes beyond the call of duty to satisfy guests. Finally, the 2008 Sales Achievement Award was presented to Kelly Dixon, director of Sales at the Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Sarasota I-75, Fla. Dixon consistently met sales goals for the hotel and energized her team to achieve strong financial results for the year.
