ATLANTA, Jan. 27, 2009 – Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, a collection of boutique hotels and chef-driven restaurants in the United States and Canada, today announced the appointment of veteran hotelier Mark Fischer to general manager of the new 304-room Hotel Palomar Atlanta, which is slated to open during the spring of 2009 in the heart of Midtown Atlanta. Fischer will work to integrate Hotel Palomar Atlanta, Kimpton’s first hotel in the market, to become a part of the bustling Midtown Atlanta community. “Kimpton is known and loved for the way we take care of our guests, and Hotel Palomar Atlanta will open our doors with stylish ambience and a certain playfulness in our programs and amenities that we believe will create memorable travel experiences, whether for business or leisure,” said Fischer. “We’re eager to become an integral part of the Midtown community, and we look forward to providing a signature blend of personalized care and comfort that guests can expect again and again.”
