Upon graduating from Florida State University with a degree in Hospitality Administration, Veldhouse began her professional career with Club Corporation of America in 1997. Since then, she has worked for Sodexho-Marriott Services, La Quinta Hotels and Royal American Management, which oversees apartment properties in the southeastern region of the country. Veldhouse specializes in new business development and key account management. Throughout her career, Veldhouse has received several awards and acknowledgements, including the MMI Sales Department of the Year award in 2002 and the La Quinta Sales Shark award in 2005 and 2006.
