Carly Hall Named Hotel Manager for the Black Rock Oceanfront Resort
in Ucluelet, British Columbia

UCLUELET, BRITISH COLUMBIA, January 5, 2008 – Boutique Hotels & Resorts of British Columbia is pleased to announce the promotion of Carly Hall to hotel manager for the new Black Rock Oceanfront Resort set to open its doors in Ucluelet on January 16 this month.
A long-time Tofino resident, Hall brings a wealth of industry experience and an extensive knowledge about the area to her position. A graduate of the prestigious Hotel & Food Administration Co-operative Program at the University of Guelph, Hall started her hospitality career at Tofino’s Middle Beach Lodge before moving to spend six years at the Long Beach Lodge Resort where she was most recently general manager for the four- star luxury resort. In July, Hall was hired by Boutique Hotels & Resorts as the director of operations for Black Rock Oceanfront Resort. Hall was offered this new position following the recent promotion of Diane Mombourquette to vice president and chief financial officer for Boutique Hotels & Resorts of British Columbia.
“During the past six months on site as director of operations, Carly’s experience has shown itself in managing the resort’s pre-opening operations alongside her team and in partnership with numerous key stakeholders through the final stages of construction,” says Mike Duggan, president of Boutique Hotels & Resorts of British Columbia. “We look forward to Carly continuing to lead the charge through the opening of Black Rock and beyond.”
Perched on a promontory jutting out onto the Pacific Ocean on the West Coast of Vancouver Island sits what will become British Columbia’s newest and most awe-inspiring hotel; Black Rock Oceanfront Resort. The highly anticipated 133-suite hotel will be a contemporary West Coast masterpiece that will redefine luxury.
Located 444 km (276 miles) northwest of Victoria on Vancouver Island, Ucluelet offers a wide array of activities, all year long. From hiking the renowned Wild Pacific Trail, kayaking, fishing and whale watching, to quiet walks on the beach taking in the sights and sounds of the ocean, Ucluelet truly is a place that shouldn’t be missed.
