 Long Time Food, Beverage & Laundry Consultant Expresses Gratitude
to the Industry on the Occasion of His 80th Birthday
.

January 2009 - Little did I know in 1942, when I started my journey as a Soda Jerk at Berman�s Pharmacy in Detroit, Michigan, that 67 years later On January 29, 2009, just a day after attending my 12th ALIS Conference that I would be celebrating my 80th Birthday while still actively enjoying such wonderful experiences in an Industry that has been so good to me over the years.
 
It is with deep appreciation that I express my sincere gratitude to all of those who have, over the years, put their trust and faith in me and allowed me to use my knowledge to serve their needs, as well as all who have made it possible for me to enjoy continued success, even during these difficult economic times.
 
There is insufficient space or capacity here to thank the hundred of individuals who have embraced me and became my personal, as well as business friends and made it possible for me to work on such projects as Disneyland (with Walt Disney), Anaheim Stadium and his other properties with Gene Autry. Colonel Sanders and his Kentucky Fried Chicken, Steve Erdos and the Hilton Family (Beverly Hilton Hotel) and the Lapin Family in the development of IHOP Franchise to name a few.
 
Other individuals who have played a significant role in my success and to whom I am most indebted are; Steve Horowitz and the Horowitz family (Interstate Restaurant Supply) who trained me and trusted me, in the early 1960�s, to run their Las Vegas Division where I had the privilege of being mentored by the late great Jay Sarno, while doing the Food & Beverage facilities at Caesars Palace, Circus Circus and just about every other Hotel Casino in the �60�s, 70�s, up to and including today.
 
My deep appreciation also goes to Rob Blackman at Tishman Construction who, early in my career, opened many doors for me in the Hospitality Industry, as well as to the late Stevan Porter, a sad loss of a good friend.
 
Last, but certainly not the least, my love, respect and deep gratitude go to Kamran and Company. Inc. whose principals Faye and Kamran Amiri, their family and Staff who, when I was looking to become an independent consultant and share my knowledge with a growing firm, took me under their wing and together we created one of the nation�s most successful teams.

Working with Kamran and Company, Inc his expertise in the planning, specification, purchasing and installation of  food service facilities is utilized by major hotels casinos, universities, hospitals and restaurants nationwide
