 Hospitality Execs to Address Role of eCommerce in
Recession at U.S. Travel�s TravelCom�09

Washington, DC -- February 19, 2009 - The U.S. Travel Association has announced that David Tessier, senior vice president and chief financial officer for InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), and Angela Brav, senior vice president, Franchise Services & Operations Support for IHG are among the senior leaders speaking at TravelCom�09, the Association�s eCommerce and distribution conference to be held in Atlanta, March 31-April 2, 2009.

This year�s conference focuses on the growing role that eCommerce and digital distribution channels are playing in the down economy. Among the topics to be covered will be generating ancillary revenue, saving money through strategic sourcing, the latest on loyalty programs, mobile marketing, outsourcing and reaching travelers through new technologies.

Other senior travel leaders joining Tessier and Brav at TravelCom include Herb Kelleher, Founder of Southwest Airlines, OTA Presidents Hugh Jones from Travelocity Global and Barney Harford from Orbitz Worldwide plus more than 40 executives from companies such as Google, United Airlines, TripAdvisor, Forrester Research, Kayak, Virgin America and others.

On April 2, Tessier will deliver the morning�s keynote address on the latest challenges and developments in the hospitality industry. Tessier is responsible for the management of financial operations for all properties in North and South America for IHG, one of the world�s largest hotel groups. Tessier�s 28 years� of hospitality experience includes serving as CFO of Kerzner International Resorts, Inc. and Ian Schrager Hotels in New York. He also was a senior vice president of Hilton Hotels Corporation and spent 17 years with Marriott International.

Brav will speak in the session, �Off-Shore and Outsourcing: the Whats, the Whys, the Dos and the Don�ts� on April 1. An 18-year hospitality industry veteran, Brav joined IHG in 1988, and has held roles of increasing responsibility throughout her tenure with the company at both the hotel and corporate levels. Prior to her current position, she was the Senior Vice President, Americas Franchise Operations & Applied Technology with responsibility for franchise operations, as well as technology management and infrastructure support for all Americas-based corporate, franchised and HMG hotels.
