Star Haury Named Sales & Marketing Manager at
The Goodstone Inn & Estate, Middleburg, Virginia

Middleburg, Virginia, February 2009 � Goodstone Inn & Estate has named Star Haury Sales & Marketing Manager for the historic property, located just outside Middleburg.  Simon Smith, General Manager, made the announcement.  
 
"I am just thrilled to announce the addition of Star to our executive team here at Goodstone Inn,� stated Mr. Smith.  "She experienced significant group sales success at Blackberry Farm, and we look forward to her leadership in developing the sales & marketing program here at our property as well.�
 
Ms. Haury was previously Group Sales Manager for Blackberry Farm, the landmark property located in Walland, Tennessee.  In this role, she experienced extraordinary success contributing significantly to the property�s sales revenues, and developed new business in both the corporate and social group markets.  
 
As well, Ms. Haury assumed coordination of meeting and event management during her tenure there, overseeing all aspects of group functions from important corporate meetings to major wedding celebrations.  Ms. Haury also leveraged her significant sales and interpersonal skill-set, developing new business opportunities through representation at trade shows and association meetings.
 
Leading up to this role, Star Haury held positions of increasing responsibility at Blackberry Farm, including Group Coordinator, Leisure Reservationist, Junior Staff Accountant and Front Desk Agent.  Success in these positions provided important operational experience, which has proven invaluable to her professional growth within the hospitality industry.
 
Earlier in her hospitality career, Ms. Haury was employed in management positions with Alamo Car Rental and TGI Fridays Restaurants.  She is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree.  Ms. Haury has relocated to the Middleburg area.
