Stan Turner Named General Manager at the
Hilton Asheville, North Carolina
.

ASHEVILLE, NC � October 23, 2008 - A native of Black Mountain, Stan Turner, returns to Western North Carolina to run Asheville�s only Hilton Hotel as General Manager.
 
Turner will be responsible for assuring the hotels� success by managing annual revenues, marketing and sales functions, as well as the day-to-day operations including: guest relations, front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, team building, and staff development.

The Hilton Asheville is expected to open fall of 2009.  The hotel will be the fifth addition to Biltmore Farms Hotels portfolio. The 165-room Hilton, will be the flagship hotel of Biltmore Park Town Square in South Asheville.  This hotel will be among the first hotels in the country to install a solar hot water system that will provide the hotel with over 2,000 gallons of hot water a day. The hot-water system is one of the many environmentally friendly measures the hotel is taking to promote a healthy environment, reduce energy costs, and help it achieve LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification.  A few additional green features for the hotel include - an energy optimization program, the use of recycled, non-toxic and local materials, and the installation of Low- E materials throughout the entire hotel.

Other hotel amenities include: the Hilton Serenity Bed collection, an ultra modern fitness center featuring Precor® Cardio theatre equipment, a full-service restaurant and lounge, and Sparrow Spa; a locally owned luxury spa featuring Pevonia and Eminence products.

Turner has 25 years of experience in hotel and resort management, with seven years as general manager of the 223 room Hilton in Singer Island, FL.  Turner has earned several awards over the years for outstanding performances.  Stan also had the pleasure of playing basketball for Roy Williams is junior and senior year at Owen High School.
