The PA Tourism & Lodging Association Holding Fourth Annual Sales & Marketing
Conference December 11, 2008 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

October 23, 2008 - The PA Tourism & Lodging Association will hold their Fourth Annual Sales & Marketing Conference on Thursday December 11, 2008, at the Sheraton Harrisburg Hershey Hotel.

The theme of the Conference “Find the Winning Combination” will provide professional resources to all levels of hospitality and tourism related sales professionals.  A welcome reception will open the Conference the evening before. This will provide an opportunity for the event attendees to meet and network with both the speakers and industry related exhibitors and sponsors of the Conference. An outstanding team of speakers will offer exceptional presentations on a variety of topics.

These include, 

  • State of the Industry will be presented by Pam Inman, IOM, CAE, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the American Hotel & Lodging Association, as she provides an overview of where the industry is heading and how the elections will affect travel and tourism. 
  • Carol Verret of Carol Verret Consulting & Training, Denver, Colorado, will offer insight on Strategies for a Difficult Economy – Maximizing Revenue Opportunities.  Ms.Verret has spoke at conferences and seminars across the country.  
  • A presentation titled, Customer Service – A Walk in the Park will be provided by Wood Boyer, Consumer Impressions, and Andy Rill, Wirehead Business Technologies.  
Following a networking lunch with an outstanding selection of industry related product providers that will offer exhibits to share the latest technology and services available, breakout sessions will be offered.  These will include, 
  • Walking Before Running – Do You have a Solid Electronic Distribution Strategy by Josh Graham of TravelClick and 
  • a workshop on Multi-Tasking in Today’s World: Time Management by Bowen Smith, Executive Vice President of North Star Marketing, Inc., Lancaster.  
The afternoon will round out with Kimberly Ehrlich of Milestone Internet Marketing presenting a topic titled Hotel Internet Marketing and Web 2.0.

The Conference will close with nationally know speaker, Steve Gilliland providing a motivating end to the day with Enjoy The Ride.  In his presentation, Mr. Gilliland will re-ignite your passion for your work and offer you a compelling challenge to “never lose your focus”. He will release an “explosion of enthusiasm” in the attendees.
