Adds Three to Executive Team
Expansion Highlights Marshall’s Growing Influence
in Hotel Management Industry
SALISBURY, Md., October 29, 2008 – Marshall Management, Inc., a leading, mid-sized hotel management company, today announced the appointment of Jim Bokosky as regional director of operations and the promotions of Jeff Lattinville to regional director of sales and marketing and Dave Douglas to regional director of operations. These additions are a part of Marshall’s growth strategy to extend and diversify the company’s leadership along the East Coast and in the Midwest.
“Marshall has grown by 35% over the past quarter with the addition of properties in New York, Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania,” said Michael Marshall, president and CEO of Marshall Management, Inc. “This additional bench strength, with more than 75 years of collective hotel experience, will provide even greater expertise to our existing owners, while supporting our expansion plans.
“Each of these executives are highly motivated and inspire the very best in those around them,” Marshall added. “Bokosky has been recognized for his ability to create new demand using the ‘Brand within a Brand’ approach; Lattinville brings a strong operational background to his position with extensive management experience in full-service, branded and independent hotels and resorts; and Douglas is a very hands-on operator who is a great mentor for property level executives.”
Jim Bokosky has 25 years of hospitality experience. He has served as general manager and regional director of operations for brands ranging from Hampton Inns to Hilton Hotels and has partnered with themed restaurants and jazz club operators to increase profitability at the property level. He is a former member of the Pennsylvania Tourism Bureau and the Lehigh Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau. “In today’s economic environment, marketing will play and even greater role,” Marshall noted.
With more than 27 years in the lodging industry, Jeff Lattinville’s experience includes opening independent resorts and major branded hotels, implementing pre-opening marketing and sales strategies, and overseeing revenue and yield strategies. Prior to working with Marshall, Lattinville spent two years as a vice president of sales for Innteractive Marketing, deploying local sales and marketing campaigns for LaQuinta Inns and Baymont Inns. He is a Dale Carnegie Institute graduate and has taught hospitality courses at the college level. “His ability to find new business and build relationships will help us continue to grow market share for our properties in all phases of the economic cycle.”
Dave Douglas joined Marshall Management in 1994 as a general manager, holding increasingly more important roles at the company. With more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry in both full- and limited-service hotels, he has served as director of food and beverage and general manager of Holiday Inns, Sheraton and independent properties ranging in size from 88 units to 350-plus units. He also has served on the Regional Advisory Board for Choice Hotels International. He graduated from Canton University with a Hotel and Restaurant Management degree.
