Dan Hermes’ Moving Digital Paintings exhibit at the
Boston Design Center with Diana Levine Fine Art
A Boston Design Center show curated by Diana Levine Fine Art features Moving Digital Paintings by Dan Hermes. During the month of October, 2008 this BDC lobby exhibit showcases oil paintings and photographs of traditional medium artists of Diana Levine Fine Art as well as the moving abstract and representational works by Dan Hermes. Other DLFA artists on display include Charlie Nowell and Bill Lyons. This month-long exhibit occurs during the Boston Design Center’s Treasure Hunt on Oct. 17th, a luxury sample sale sponsored by the Boston Globe Magazine.
Dan Hermes creates moving digital paintings, audiovisual works designed for use on flat screen televisions, LCD or plasma. Audiovisual artist Dan Hermes creates his digital paintings set to his music as well as adapts the works of established oil painters to this new medium of digital painting. Says Dan, “This hybrid medium fuses elements of visual art, music, and dance. “
