Timothy Sofield Appointed Sales Manager at Benchmark's
The Heldrich, New Brunswick, New Jersey

New Brunswick, New Jersey, November 30, 2008 ... The Heldrich has announced the appointment of Timothy J. Sofield as sales manager for the luxury downtown hotel.  Mike Taylor, general manager, made the announcement. 

"I am happy to welcome Tim to The Heldrich,� said Mr. Taylor.  "Having worked with him previously, I know he brings an infectious enthusiasm to his position, as well as broad knowledge of our industry and markets.�

Timothy Sofield was previously global sales manager for Dolce Basking Ridge, located in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.  In this role, Mr. Sofield experienced significant success in exceeding his revenue goals for the current year.  Before this assignment, he served as corporate sales manager for North Maple Inn of Basking Ridge, which was operated by Benchmark Hospitality International at the time, and which also operates The Heldrich.  In this role he was responsible for developing group business in multiple market segments.  He also served as conference concierge and front office manager for the property.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Sofield held the title of assistant general manager for Extended Stay America, located in South Brunswick, New Jersey.  He began his hospitality career working in conference service for Hamilton Park Hotel and Conference Center of Florham Park, New Jersey. 

Tim Sofield is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickenson University with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management.   He has been the recipient of numerous awards and honors during his career, including Leader of the Quarter, Platinum Club Member, and the Award of Excellence -- a national award presented by Benchmark Hospitality International.  Mr. Sofield resides in Franklin Park, New Jersey.
