Tom Tillman Named Director of Sales and Marketing at the
WaterColor Inn and Resort, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida


Santa Rosa Beach, FL � (July 29, 2008) � WaterColor Inn and Resort announced today the appointment of Tom Tillman as director of sales and marketing.  Tillman brings more than two decades of hospitality experience to the 499-acre resort community on Northwest Florida�s beautiful Gulf Coast.  
 
Tillman will oversee all marketing initiatives for the 60-room, Four Diamond WaterColor Inn, in addition to WaterColor and WaterSound Beach�s cottage and condo rental programs.  He will also be responsible for developing strategic marketing partnerships and attracting group business to the properties. 
 
�Tom has extensive experience marketing and selling to groups,� said Eric Sather, general manager, WaterColor Inn and Resort. �With him leading the charge, we are confident this sector of our business will grow.  Coming from Atlanta - one of our key markets, Tom brings with him a unique perspective on WaterColor, which will help us with our regional positioning.�  
 
Most recently, Tillman served as the regional director of sales at Atlanta-based Hinton & Grusich, a third party representation firm specializing in the meetings industry.  He was responsible for over 140 hotels in the U.S. and Mexico, served as a liaison between the resorts and clients, and led the development and opening of the company�s southeast regional office.
 
Previously, Tillman spent nine years at The Coeur d�Alene Resort in Idaho. As director of sales and marketing he exceeded annual group booking goals by 20% five years in a row.  During Tillman�s hospitality career, he also held sales and marketing positions with the Doubletree Hotel at Fisherman�s Wharf (Monterey, CA), Fairmont Hotels (San Jose, CA) and Benchmark Hospitality Group (Woodlands, TX).
 
Originally from Birmingham, Tillman is a graduate of the University of Alabama, Birmingham. He is an active member of Meeting Professionals International, American Society of Association Executives and the International Association of Association Management Companies.
