.
Ralph Armenta Appointed General Manager

LEAWOOD, KS (July 10, 2008) The historic Hotel Pattee of Perry, Iowa, one of the nations finest and most unique boutique hotels, has been acquired by Hotel Perry, LLC and will reopen on July 21st, according to Leisure Hotels & Resorts, which will manage the hotel under a long term agreement.

To facilitate the reopening of the hotel, both the City of Perry and Economic Development Fund came together to enhance the opportunity for Leisure Hotels to come to Perry, said Steve Olson, President & CEO of Leisure Hotels. Very few properties in the U.S. have the kind of aesthetics that this hotel does, and very few have this kind of support from the local community and state.

Leisure Hotels & Resorts is one of the largest hotel operators in the central U.S., currently operating 24 hotels in eight states. Hotel Perry, LLC is comprised of a group of investors including principles within Leisure Hotels. Financing for the project was provided by Raccoon Valley Bank of Perry, IA.

According to Bill Clark, former Vice President of Pattee Enterprises, Inc. and agent to the seller, This is the next generation of Hotel Pattee and I am proud to have been associated with having helped bring Leisure Hotels to Perry. Not only do they [Leisure Hotels] have excellent experience in running hotels they understand a diverse marketplace, embrace community mindedness, and are real professionals who know how to run quality properties and will be an asset to our state and our community.

Olson added, We want to thank Bill Clark and the entire Perry community for pulling this project together because without their investment of time, effort and financial support, it would not have happened. We are committed to the beautiful Hotel Pattee being a focal point for the future of tourism and business development in the downtown community.

The new management will strengthen Hotel Pattees tradition as a popular central place to meet, catering to corporate business and community needs for weddings, meetings, family reunions, retreats, special weekend getaways and other occasions with more than 6,000 square feet of flexible conference and event space. The hotels David's Milwaukee Diner restaurant will reopen to host lunch meetings, casual dinners and cocktails after work, in an atmosphere that is informal and comfortable.

Our team is on board to take care of the communitys needs and maintain the high quality of the Hotel Pattee, said Ralph Armenta, the new General Manager of Hotel Pattee. From our unique Olley Olson Bowling Alley, to the spa, our fine restaurant, and the highest quality wedding facility in the region, we are excited to invite both guests and the community to sample this hometown treasure.

The luxuriously appointed Hotel Pattee, decorated in the English Arts & Craft style, was opened by the Pattee Brothers in 1913, and completely restored in 1997. It features 40 individually themed guestrooms that each tells a story to honor the people and history of the region. Examples include the Louis Armstrong Suite, with French Quarter décor to celebrate its famous guest; the Quilt Room, to celebrate the regions craft; the Italian, Irish, Welsh, Japanese, Mexican and Swedish Rooms, which all honor immigrants who settled in Iowa; the American Indian Room, a tribute to Indians in the state, and the Marching Band Room, with its own playful slice of Americana.

On display throughout the hotel are myriad original works by artists of the Midwest. Amenities include high speed Internet access, spacious baths with luxurious bathrobes, wood burning fireplaces in select suites, and a business center. Both guests and the public may utilize David's Milwaukee Diner restaurant, open seven days a week; a fully equipped fitness center and spa featuring massage rooms, whirlpool, sauna and steam room; a unique bowling alley, and a library filled with information about the region.
