Anchorage Hospitality LLC Building a $20 million 165 room
 Crowne Plaza in the Mid Town Area, Anchorage

July 18, 2008 - -WHAT: A six-floor, 165-room Crowne Plaza hotel -- which will be about 100,000 square feet -- will include executive suites on the top two floors; a restaurant and bar; some jacuzzi suites; pool, spa and exercise room; and a concierge lounge on the top floor that will provide food and drinks and other amenities to members of Crowne Plaza's Priority Club.

Crowne Plaza is an upscale brand of the InterContinental Hotels Group, which also operates the Holiday Inn and other brands. This will be the first Crowne Plaza in Anchorage.

WHERE: West International Airport Road, at C Street.

COST: About $20 million

WHY: Ashenbrener, co-owner of Anchorage Hospitality, said he and his partner perceive Anchorage as a vibrant business hub that will continue to prosper. A need for an upscale, full-service hotel of this nature exists in the Midtown area, he said.

WHEN: The project is scheduled for completion in the spring.
