Aug. 15, 2008 - Police are investigating the robbery of clerks at five Oklahoma City-area hotels since Wednesday morning. One man may have been involved in all the robberies. His description varies but is similar. He is a white man in his 20s, 5 feet 6 inches to 6 feet tall. He wore a ski mask and blue jeans and was armed with a handgun during each robbery. During one heist, the robber was helped by another man, described as a white man, 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing 120 pounds with dark-colored eyes. He wore a white T-shirt that may have been turned inside out. Shortly before 4 a.m. Wednesday, a man robbed a hotel clerk at Best Western, near Interstate 240 and Western Avenue. A man matching the robber's description also robbed hotel clerks Thursday morning at Holiday Inn, 6200 N Robinson Ave.; Comfort Inn, 4625 NE 120; Holiday Inn Express, 3840 E Second in Edmond; and Hampton Inn, near Interstate 35 and Main Street in Norman, authorities said. Two men were involved in the Norman robbery, authorities said. "Obviously, this isn't enough to say it's the same person. But we're certainly going to look into it," police Sgt. Paco Balderrama said of the Oklahoma City robberies. Anyone with information is asked to call Edmond Crime Stoppers at 359-4466, Norman Crime Stoppers at 366-7867 or Oklahoma City Crime Stoppers at 235-7300.
