As director of sales, Cartmill will be responsible for the total sales effort of the hotel, including developing and maintaining new accounts, supervising sales related personnel, and implementing sales and marketing strategies so as to maximize profits of the hotel while maintaining guest satisfaction. She joins Waterford with more than 14 years of sales experience. Cartmill began her hospitality career at the Wyndham Garden Hotel in Atlanta, GA, where she started as catering sales manager before being promoted to sales manager. She also held sales manager positions at both the Holiday Inn Select and the Crowne Plaza Ravinia Hotel, both in Georgia. Cartmill most recently served as senior sales manager for the Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Perimeter Center. 

Cartmill holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the College of Human Resources at the University of Delaware. She is a native of Ithaca and recently relocated back to the area.
